Spicy Tuna Causa

The causa, a Peruvian dish traditionally consisting of layered potato and seafood.  I tasted the original version at La Mar in SF and it was so delicious, I decided to create my own version with a slight hawaiian flare!  I call it a Poki Causa :)  

I had my cousins over for their first dinner prepared by me after years of posting pictures of my food and talking about cooking all of the time.  I was determined to validate my foodie talk and this was my appetizer dish, served with trio of ahi.  Seared ahi, maguro sashimi and the causa.

Ingredients:
Ahi seasoned with shallots, garlic and chives and a touch of chili oil.  The center layer is a avocado & lime guacamole and the base layer is a garlic mashed purple potato.

Super simple to make and serious deliciousness!!!
